Simple homemade lentil soup is a classic. Our recipe shows sausages that are very easy to prepare and can be used in lentil soup.
Ingredients for 4 servings)
500g lentils (canned if time is short)
1 bunch of soup herbs (2 carrots, 100g celeriac, 3 parsley leaves, a little green onion)
salt and pepper from the mill
First, follow the package instructions soak.
First, peel the celery, onion, potatoes and carrots, cut into small cubes and fry briefly in a high pot with a little oil.
Fill with soaked lentils (or canned lentils).
Fill with water until soup is the desired consistency, add parsley and cover everything for about 20-30 minutes. boil lets do it. It is best to try whether the cubed potatoes are already ripe.
Just before the end of cooking time, remove the parsley stalks and finely chop the 5 cm leek, add to the lentil soup and simmer for a while.

tip: A slice of vinegar is served to round out the flavor of the lentil soup.
Sausage for Lentil Soup
You can also use Vienna or frankfurter or metwurst to refine lentil soup. Sausages are simply heated in lentil soup. If you like something a little more exotic, try the chorizo tempura.
